Does Rose-Hulman provide maintenance on my Lenovo ThinkPad W510 laptop computer?
Yes. The Technical Services Center technical staff will coordinate maintenance for students purchasing the Lenovo ThinkPad W510. Students who enter in the Fall of 2010 will be covered by a maintenance agreement for items described in the Lenovo warranty agreement, which is a part of the Laptop Computer Policy Statement. Please consult the warranty agreement so that you understand what is, and what is not, covered. In many cases we will be able to make repairs within three hours. However, other repairs may either require parts to be ordered or the laptop be returned to the manufacturer. This maintenance plan does not cover hardware enhancements that you may add after your initial purchase. The responsibility to maintain them lies with the vendor from whom they are purchased.
