Does Root Canal surgery hurt?

0

A root canal is alot like having a cavity filled. You’ll be numb and comfortable for the procedure. You might feel a bit of pushing or pressure, but not pain. Afterwards, a little advil or tylenol is all that most people need, but your dentist may give you a prescription for something stronger – you may or may not need it. If you are worried about the procedure, phone your dentist and let them know. You can use the laughing gas to help relax you, and most offices will phone in some valium or other sedative for you to take before your appointment. This way you snooze through the procedure and wake up with your root canal all finished and little memory of the procedure. Good luck – it’s really not that awful!
