Does rome have mountains?
Hi, Karma. I’m from Rome, so i can answer with certainty 😉 Yes, here in Rome we’ve the Tiber river, but there’s another river in the northern part of the city, and it’s called Aniene. The Aniene is an affluent of the Tiber, and it gets in the Tiber near the Salario Bridge. About the mountains: ground into the City is very wavy. As the user above me said in Rome there are 7 hills (called “i 7 colli”): their name are Aventino (the zone of the Caracalla thermal baths), Palatino (the hill where Rome has been founded), Quirinale (where there’s the residence of the President of the Italian Republic), Viminale (where there’s the Ministry of the Interior), Celio (Basilique of Saints John and Paul), Esquilino (there isn’t any famous monument near) and Campidoglio (where there’s the city hall, near the Imperial Forums). Around Rome there aren’t big mountains: at Norh-west there are the Monti Sabini, but the highest peak is more or less 1.200m. There are other little mountain ranges, like the C
