As a shipping trust, Rickmers Maritime has been granted the Approved Ship Investment Enterprise (ASIE) status under Singapore’s Maritime Finance Incentive (MFI) scheme for a period of 10 years, beginning 4 May 2007. Under the MFI, the Trust’s charter income is tax-exempt.
