Does RI have a separate W4 form?

0

The State of RI mandates that the marital status and number of allowances be the same for RI as for the individual’s federal filing. Therefore, there is only the federal W4 form. No additional form is available for the State of RI. You are allowed to have both federal and/or state additional withholding. To elect additional federal withholding, add the desired pay period amount to line 6. If additional RI withholding is desired, indicate “RI additional withholding $XXX.XX” at the bottom of the form. You are allowed to elect just federal additional or just state additional or both with differing amounts.
