Does Retract-A-Gate come in multiple colors?
No. The color of Retract-A-Gate is Cafe Latte (light tan), which is a great “goes with everything”, neutral color. This color was specifically chosen because it blends well with all decors and most importantly does not show fingerprints, smudges, or dirt the way white does. Early on we tested white and found several drawbacks; namely that white shows dust, dirt, and fingerprints much more than Cafe Latte. A white gate definitely looks much worse after outdoor use where dust and dirt are unavoidable. Additionally, most of our customers prefer the Cafe Latte color because it blends better with natural woodwork, molding, etc. and has a rich, upscale look. Introducing NEW clear brackets…why clear…
Yes, it comes in Cafe (light tan) and White. The original color of Retract-A-Gate is Cafe, which is a great “goes with everything” neutral color. Most of our customers love the Cafe color because it blends well with natural woodwork and has a rich, upscale look. This color was specifically chosen because it does not show finger or paw prints, dust, or dirt the way white does. This really helps keep the gate looking the best for the long-term, especially if you use your gate outdoors. We also offer white because many new homes have white doors and woodwork trim. You may want a white gate indoors and a Cafe gate for using outdoors. Additionally, Retract-A-Gate was designed so you can very easily unhook it from its brackets (without the use of tools) when you don’t plan to use it. This just leaves behind the clear brackets which are virtually invisible. Because of this, Retract-A-Gate is as close to invisible as you can possibly get with a gate.
