Does repairing it in 1-hour mean swapping the board out and charging the price of the board (which can cost up to $1000.00)?

No. We repair down to the component level. This includes surface mounted ICs which most service centers wont touch. If we receive your instrument and a board will not be cost effective to repair, we will call you to discuss options, but this only happens on rare occasions.
