Does remaining salary cap money cross over to the future seasons?
As others have mentioned, there is no roll over of unused salary cap funds. The club is under a cloud with a number of off field issues at the moment. There is the allegations of drug dealing and consumption, lingering tensions over Brian Smith’s axing, the club facing legal action unpaid stadium funds as well as the club’s tenuous financial situation. All this in addition to the fact that most of the player movements are done for this season means that any replacement won’t exactly be a high quality signing, so the Knights are better off not signing anyone until they get their issues sorted out. BQ: Most fans would tell you their club needs more props. It’s a specialist position and it takes a long time for good props to mature. I agree with Aiden that you need another halfback. Finch would be good for this season, but given Newcastle won’t buy a player for this season, they just need to give Dureau a good crack at halfback and have someone on standby for depth.
