Does RBC Daniels do consulting work?
A1: No. We provide mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and financial advisory services. Our fees are primarily based on the successful outcome of an engagement. For example, if we represent a company that’s merging with another, most of our fee will be owed upon the successful completion of that transaction. Or, if we assist a firm by raising equity or debt capital, we receive our success fee once our client has obtained the funding. In addition, we also provide financial advisory assistance. In these engagements, we are paid a fee to assemble facts, assist with business plans and financial models, outline various options, offer concise recommendations and use our worldwide contacts and expertise to help clients execute financial strategies. We also provide fairness opinions, solvency opinions, valuations, due-diligence reports and analyses of strategic-alliance formations and new-venture opportunities.
