Rain can make one feel a bit down. Most people seem to think depression is feeling low for a day or two. Real depression is a lot worse than that and can last for years.

Not rain specifically, but the other elements that are connected to elements such as rain – lack of sunlight/ gloomy/dark days etc can. Lack of sunlight is related scientifically to depression. It was found that in Iceland, where the apparantly have one of the lowest amounts of sunlight per day/month, the suicide rate was amonth the highest in the world. Sunlight provides vitamins that people in sunlight deprived countries wouldn’t get. I can’t remember most of the figures from the study but thats the basics.
