Does QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing have an International Code Council Evaluation Service (ICC-ES) or Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC) Evaluation report?
No, QuietZone™ Acoustic Wall Framing does not require either report. It is made from a structural piece of #2 certified finger-joint lumber and a resilient member of LVL joined with a metal clip. Finger-joint lumber can be used interchangeably with solid sawn lumber as long as it bears an appropriate grade stamp from an approved grading agency. National Design Specification. 2005. Paragraph 4.1.6. American Forest and Paper Association states “design values for sawn lumber are applicable to structural end-jointed or edge glued lumber of the same species and grade”. And for the LVL resilient member, the ICC-ES report can be found on the Webpage www.icc-es.org. Search evaluation reports for ESR-1898. For more information see our ICC-ES Code Acceptance letter on our Webpage under the link “Literature”.
