All x86 CPUs and cores are available to translated SPARC applications. Atomic instructions and synchronization primitives are being maintained, so applications remain thread-safe. The same number of threads as on a SPARC machine will be created, so a translated multi-threaded application will scale the same way as a native x86 port.
