Does PWS provide a mechanism to print patient handouts for their reference?
The Clinical Reference software provides handouts that can be used to educate patients about a particular medical condition or procedure. For example, a topic describing a procedure may explain how to prepare for it, what will happen during and after it is performed, its benefits and risks, and when to call the doctor. A topic that describes a condition may explain how the condition occurs, how it is diagnosed and treated, how long the effects will last, and how to prevent it. The patient handout topics were written and reviewed by a panel of physicians and other healthcare professionals. Handouts are available in both English and Spanish.
