Does Public Broadcasting tape speakers who come to campus?
In some cases, portions of events or interviews with speakers or performers are taped for use in Public Broadcasting programming, provided they have given permission as part of their signed contract. All paid speakers must sign contracts, but not all contracts include the rights to interview speakers or broadcast segments of performances. WCMU keeps copies of all locally produced programs, which are available for use by CMU faculty ad infinitum.
