Does protecting the environment have to come at the expense of jobs?
The environment is what keeps us alive. We only have this planet to live on and we need to look after it. To destroy our world for the sake of a few extra dollars is an outrage. We rape and plunder everything in our path with no care at all. There are more than enough resources on this planet to support double our current world population. There is enough, yet people are selfish and frankly don’t give a damn. Spend less on defense and more on education and job creation. If we could half world spending on military equipment and arms we will have far less problems than we do now. I was looking at a picture of earth from space the other day and I had tears in my eyes. I was crying in sadness for what we have become and what we have done to our only home. Maybe one day the governments of the world will wake up and smell the roses. The way we are carrying on, there might not be any roses left one day.
