Does Prometheanism advocate eugenics, or is the Promethean movement associated with eugenics movements?
Prometheanism does not advocate eugenic practices with a racial, or other collectivist basis. Prometheanism does however support preserving the option of voluntary genetic modification on an individual basis, although this is not the same as advocating the practice. Prometheanism focuses primarily on the importance of philosophy (ideas) over the simplistic strategy of breeding as a means for improving human beings. Also, most eugenics ideologies today are based on attempting to increase IQ, which must be rejected as any significant measure of either the diversity of intelligence, or of some basic, generalized criterion of human advancement. The Promethean movement is not involved with eugenics projects or affiliated with eugenics movements.
