Does proactive actually work?

It really depends on your condition and skin type. Most acne is caused by hormones and extremely oily skin mixed with poor diet choices. Greasy foods, pizza, fries, things like that can cause acne; sugary foods cause zits and blemishes. That said, if your skin is oily (not to say that you eat poorly=) then proactive will most likely be good for you. It consists of alcohol which helps reduce the excess oils produced by the skin. If your skin is naturally dry, however, don’t use it because it will dry your skin out, cause redness and maybe peeling which you don’t want. There are a bunch of face washes out there and I sort of have the same problem as you. My skin is naturally oily but not to the point where i get a whole bunch of acne. I use Super-C Cleanser face wash. It’s an orange liquid with no exfoliating grains but it really gets my skin smooth and leaves it with a healthy glow. I’m pretty sure you can pick it up at any conveniant store.
