Does Privia Health subscribe to the “Patient–Centered Medical Home” model of care?
unfortunately, pivia health is a company that is convincing honest medical practices that they can provide less service and get more money from patients by using their marketing scheme. the company uses a scare tactic to convince doctors that only a few practices will be admitted into the priva health network, so they join out of fear. the same scare tactic is used to convince patients thy need to join. the reality is that the only thing gained by joining as a patient is priority access to the medical practice if most of the patients pay for the privias service. if none, ior very few do, you will retain thesame priority access as you always had. the best way to combat this scam is by telling your doctor that you will not join privia and will leave the practice if their services are diminished by privia.
Yes! The American College of Physicians defines a Patient-Centered Medical Home as “a team–based model of care led by a personal physician who provides continuous and coordinated care throughout a patient’s lifetime to maximize health outcomes.” This model has received widespread attention and support in recent years – in fact many of the leading physician groups including the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Family Physicians have lobbied Congress to expand this model of care because of its positive impact on quality and long-term costs. Privia Health is proud to be right at the forefront of the Patient-Centered Medical Home movement.
