Does Privatel have a “back door” or some means to allow third parties to listen in if they know “the secret”?
No. When going into secure mode, Privatel automatically negotiates with the Privatel unit on the callee end and generates a unique random session key. After the call, Privatel destroys the session key. The keys are never stored, and there is no key escrow or other means of accessing the encryption algorithm.
