Does premature birth have anything to do with dyslexia?

My daughter was born 11 weeks early and from when she first started school the teachers said she had problems. Her attention span was short, she would not participate in class and she used to hide under the table in class. They took her out of her main stream class and put her into “sunshine group”, which in years gone by would have been called special needs. She progressed well until she was classed as too old fro the group. The school then got funding for her to have her own “teacher” within the main class. This meant someone sat with her during class to help her with her work and try to bring her up to her correct level of learning. She is now in her high school and still has the support worker although she is almost level with her classmates. she is expected to achieve C’s in her GCSE’s next year and maybe a few B’s if she puts the work in. She still has trouble with spelling some words although these are minimal. Her han writing is not brilliant but is improving. Ask the school to
