Does PocketPractitioner Office connect directly to a billing system?
No. This product is designed to be desktop companion to your Handheld organizer, much like the Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook. We feel the first step is for you to identify your procedures at the time of service, print a detailed report, and pass it along to your billing office. However, the data is in a standard format, and there are ways that you can automate the process. To get information from your billing system to the Handheld, you would need to create an export file and place it in the appropriate folder. You can creates an inpatient report, for example, daily at 7 am. When you then HotSync anytime after 7 am, the information would be imported to the Handheld automatically.
