Does playing my old / older systems reduce their collectibility or value?
(back to top) -Most collectors buy used hardware. From that standpoint, no, I don’t think playing the older systems will decrease their value. A collector is almost certainly going to treat his hardware with more respect than the average consumer. If your hardware is still factory sealed, then opening it to play would definitely reduce its resale/trade value however..
