Does planets have to be Earth size?

0

I would say that if life can be found elsewhere then it would need to have conditions that allow for life to be able to develop into more advanced life forms. We can tell from our solar system that there are only so many planets that can have meaningful life growing on them because Earth is the only planet with known life on it. If the planet is the right size and the environment also then there would be a chance that life would happen. But we wouldn’t know if there was life since we don’t even see many of the planets that we discover. The only real chance that we would get to meet with other people from other planets is if we have star wars or star trek like spaceships that can go really fast and that we would be able to figure out their technology and also their language as to be able to talk to them. But I wouldn’t count on any of this coming in our lifetime.
