Does pictures and music take away space on my computer?
Yes. Your hard drive is what stores all the files (like pictures, music, videos, etc.) on your computer. Eventually it will fill up. However, depending on how big your hard drive is, you might never fill it up. At the moment I’ve got 1500 GB of storage space (far more than most people). I have around 90 feature length movies that take up 400GB, 4000 songs that take up around 35 GB, and 900 or so photos that take up around 1GB. As you can see, different types of files take up different amounts of space. Movies will eat up hard drive space pretty fast. Songs will take up a fair bit of space but you’ll have trouble filling a hard drive with them. Pictures take up very little space and you’ll probably never run out of room for them. To tell how much space your hard drive has, click on the Start Menu, then click “computer” or “my computer” and then find your hard drive (probably Local Disc C:/) and right click it and choose properties. This should have a graph of how much space you’ve used
