There’s no interaction chemically, so you don’t have to worry about toxicity etc. However, patients who supplement with phosphatidyl serine (PS) sometimes need to (are able to) reduce their antidepressant dosages. I’d recommend a talk with your doc about the PS (and any other supplements or herbs you may be taking.) She needs to be aware of everything you’re taking to make sure the combination and dosages are safe and effective. ——————————– PS acts to help “normalize” brain phospholipid functions, so it can increase serotonin levels in some individuals.
