Does philosophy as wisdom aim to be a science?

Philosophy is definitely not science. Science refers to hypotheses that are then directly tested against the real world. For instance in science you might say that speed = distance / time You then do some calculations in the real world to test if that is right or not. Philosophy however is about thinking about the world and doing thought experiments, it does not relate to testing things in the real world as science does.
