Does phenylalanine cause cancer?
Well from what I’ve just read no it does not cause cancer but it can cause problems if there is a genetic condition known as phenylketoneuria (PKU) in which people lack an enzyme called phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH). If this condition is present then there is a risk for seizures, concentration problems, mental confusion, and impaired memory. I’d be more concerned about the aspartame which is an artificial sweetener found in a lot of fizzy drinks especially the diet or zero sugar ones it causes dozens of hearth problems and there has even been a movie made about the dangers of this chemical.
