Does petco sells macaws parrots?
No…they don’t and for good reasons. They don’t give good advice when they sell them. Macaws are awesome. And with them comes an awesome responsibility to earn their trust and be worthy of their love and adoration for every day of their 100 year lifespan. If you want a macaw, my first suggestion (which is exactly what I did and what I tell people who see mine and instantly want one…) is research the heck out of the species. Figure out which species of Macaw appeals to you and then ask yourself WHY that particular species appeals to you. Hyacinth Macaws are the biggest macaw. They are gentle giants, with great big hearts to go along with their great big bodies. They are truly the most magnificent of all the macaws. Their price tag is usually right around 13,000.00 in the US. Greenwing Macaws are the next step down from Hyacinth’s. Greenwings are gentle and loving by nature, learn very quickly and speak well.
