Does PestPatrol Eliminate All Spyware?
PestPatrol detects and eliminates a lot of spyware. However, I discovered that it does not clean the computer of all spyware. As a test, I downloaded a free version of Ad-Aware (a freeware program by Lavasoft). Like PestPatrol, Ad-Aware is designed to search out and delete spyware. Ad-Aware takes longer to run a scan than PestPatrol … but it also discovers spyware that PestPatrol did not locate. After running my last PestPatrol scan, I did a scan with Ad-Aware. Ad-Aware discovered 10 critical objects, which PestPatrol did not find. However, after saying that PestPatrol does not catch every spyware infiltration … I’ll add that PestPatrol catches a good share of what tries to come through. I run PestPatrol in the background of my computer in tandem with Norton’s Antivirus and a firewall.
