Does PERM keep the rules for people engaged in a combination of occupations?
The PERM rules continues to use business necessity to justify a combination of duties a combination of occupations. Combination occupations can be justified in the same way as is presently required for a combination of duties, i.e., the employer must prove it has normally employed persons for that combination and/or workers customarily perform the combination in the area of intended employment and/or the combination job opportunity is based upon a business necessity.
