Does Pepperdine have the compatibility of recording a video conferencing session?
Yes, a video conferencing session can be recorded. There two ways that this can be done. The university owns an IP VCR 2210 video recorder. This unit allows for all of the video and audio from all of the end points to be recorded, saved for archive purposes, streamed at a later date, or downloaded as an mp3 file. Another way to record a video conference is to hook up a vcr/dvd recorder and run the video conferencing unit through the vcr/dvd recorder and back to the television/projector. When the conference starts just hit record as if you were recording a television show on your home television. Below are more instructions about using a vcr/dvd recorder to record a video conferencing session.
