Does Pennys use food coloring in their products?
Penny’s does not use food coloring to hide certain colors as do some manufacturers. The area just around the cherries in our Cherry Oat Bran muffins may sometimes have a green tint caused by the red from the cherry mixing with the brown wheat (red and brown = green). Nothing to hide here—it’s not mold, just a combination of the brown and red.
