Does Pecan Grove provide breakfast or lunch for its students?
Yes. Good nutrition is important for children who are working their brain muscles all day. We encourage our students to eat both breakfast and lunch at school. Breakfast is free and lunch costs $1.00 for students. Additional milk is available for $.25. Your child can buy lunch tickets before school and at noon. Students should write their name and room number on the tickets so that we can return them to them if you child loses them. If you send the correct change to purchase the ticket, it will help the cafeteria line move more smoothly. Students may qualify for free or reduced prices. You can get an application from the office. Please give the school 2 weeks to process your application. If you like, students may bring sack lunches from home or parents may occasionally bring their child a lunch from a fast food chain. We just ask that students do not bring soft drinks to school. Please send juice or money for milk. Fast food lunches should also include a drink other than a soda. Thanks
