Does Pancrete produce odors?
Odors come about most often when volatile components of a coating or paint are emitted on drying or setting up. The lower the volatile components are, the less odor there is recognized. In an effort to reduce odors and volatiles, the Federal government regulated the maximum volatile organic compound (abbreviated VOCs) to 340 grams per liter maximum (340 g/l). Individual States may further pass laws that may reduce this maximum level. For example, Southern California, provides for a legal maximum VOC levels of 100 grams per liter (100g/l). Pancrete has a very low odor characteristic during setup, and has a VOC close to zero, at 18 g/l. After set-up, normally 4 hours, there are no odors.
