Does pampering a dog really alters their personality?
Grooming does not cause a dog to be yappy OR snooty. It contributes to a dog’s health and well-being as well as good hygiene! What causes that psycho behavior in dogs are owners who indulge a dog when it shows bad behavior patterns like not reprimanding a puppy for yapping in the first place because they think it s cute when it first barks for attention or growls and snaps at strangers. Raising a dog is similar to raising a child in the fact that it needs love and attention just as much as it needs discipline and training to be a good citizen (in the case of a child) and a good canine citizen around strange people, places and inside your home. Just as a child needs to learn that it is not acceptable to color the walls with his crayons, the pup needs to know it is not acceptable to chew the walls or furniture.
