Does paediatric surgery include all surgery performed on children?
The children’s service mapping is attempting to capture dedicated provision to children. If within an all-age service, you provide a dedicated service (i.e. dedicated operating lists, dedicated surgery sessions) for children, then we would like this to be mapped. If, however, children are seen on any list or there is nothing specific for children within an all-age service, for the purposes of the mapping, we would not want you to report that.
