Does PACFA have guidelines for supervision and/or supervision training?

Yes PACFA does have guidelines for supervision whilst completing training (see PACFA Training Standards doc). PACFA has proposed draft supervision training standards. It is hoped that these standards will come into practice in 2009. There is a vast amount of literature on Supervision theories and practices for clinical and non clinical work currently on the market. If a person is engaged in full time clinical work it is usual practice to have weekly one hour one-one supervision or group supervision for 1.5-2 hours with a maximum number of 6 group members.
