Does our entire group need to attend the closing ceremony on MLK Day?
We encourage all participants to join us at City Hall to turn in proceeds and attend the MLK Celebration. This is a powerful opportunity for kids to see the impact they have when they help others… you won’t want to miss it! The closing ceremony will include testimony from youth leaders, music, and inspirational speakers including Irvine’s Mayor Sukhee Kang and Irvine Unified School Board Member Dr. Gavin Huntley-Fenner. Be there early for 5:00-6:00pm presentation on MLK Day, January 18, 2010, at Irvine City Hall, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine, CA 92606. • We have a number of kids or families volunteering through our troop or team. Does each family need to register through Disney’s “Give a Day Get A Day” website to be eligible to get a free ticket to Disneyland? Yes. Team Kids will not be able to verify participants without each family registering their volunteers independently, and following all steps on www.teamkids.org as well as on Disney’s site.
