Does OSSTF/FEESO offer professional development (PD) opportunities that respond to my PD needs?
OSSTF/FEESO has an entire department dedicated to developing and offering PD to members at the provincial, regional and local levels. Some of the resources offered by OSSTF/FEESO to meet the PD needs of members are: • Workshops such as CyberBullying, From Pain to Pride: Gender-Based Violence and Homophobia, The Educational Team, Boundaries for Educational Workers, CALM: Crisis Awareness Learning Modules, Classroom Management, and STAR: Students at Risk that are member-developed and presented to members by trained members; • Curriculum supports such as Learning Labour, Common Threads, Socially-Based Curriculum, Students First, and Creating Spaces; • Information pamphlets and resource books such as the Guide to Pregnancy and Parental Leaves for OSSTF/FEESO Members, Employment Insurance (EI) Booklet, Children’s Aid Society Guidelines for Members, School Law, and CyberSafety; • The Educational Services Resource Bank (www.osstf.on.ca/ESRB) where over 70 workshop presenters, approved by the
