Does OSPA need detail budgets since PeopleSoft does not require it?

The level of budget detail is driven by the sponsor set up. Budgets for each sponsor must have the minimum level of detail required by that sponsor. With the exception of budget categories not allowed by the sponsor, additional detail may be entered at the user’s option. Specifically for NIH modular proposals, the level of budget detail required is that sufficient to determine the appropriate F&A base (i.e., equipment, parts of some subcontracts, and certain other categories are excluded) since F&A is not modular.
