Does OSHA really exsists?

I was in the hospitality business twice in the State of Vermont years ago. Sooner or later, an inspector from the State office of OSHA appeared on both of my properties to check the conditions of each. They primarily look for anything out of oeder where an employee could get hurt on the job. They issure a report. Then the property owner MUST fix whatever they find wrong in a certain amount of time. Then you are subject to a re-inspection. You are fined heavely if you have not corrected the problems they found. Also, if an employee is injured on the job, the owner must notify OSHA immediately. Failure to do so, gets the owner in a lot of trouble. OSHA is interested in Safety for Industrial and commercial sites. Sources: Personal experience.
