Does organic chicken taste different?
Was it frozen or from the cooler section? In any case, the shop you bought it from may have stored it incorrectly. It may have thawed and then been refrozen, or it may have stood around at room temperature for some time. I sometimes wonder what happens when people put stuff back on the wrong shelf or at the cashier’s desk. Sometimes there’s a warm carton of milk standing there, and I remember the “fresh” and within date milk I bought that was completely sour… unfortunately it can happen. If you’ve caught food poisoning then make sure you get lots of fluids, and monitor yourself. If you get really bad quickly, or this just last much longer, go see a doctor. Some of these bugs are not to mess with. On the other hand, the incubation for food poisoning is usually a bit longer. Is there anything else that you have eaten during the previous day that could have been dodgy? And yes, organic meat can taste a bit stronger. But it shouldn’t be THAT strong…
