Except for the Shelby County Sheriff, the qualifications for the Trustee, Register, County Clerk, and Assessor will be the same as those set by state law for the former constitutional officers. In addition to those state law qualifications, the Sheriff must have three or more years experience as a chief executive officer of a jail or prison or be a Certified Corrections Executive.
