No, Oracle CM SDK does not use SAMBA for SMB access. For Solaris, Oracle CM SDK has its own SMB server written in Java. For Windows platforms, it provides a C device driver which is called by the native Windows SMB server. The C device driver then calls the Oracle CM SDK Java API.
