Does Oracle Assets create journal entries at the time of adding, adjusting or transferring an asset?

No. Oracle Assets does not create journal entries when you perform asset transactions. Oracle Assets creates journal entries only when you use the Create Journal Entries form. When you perform asset transactions, Oracle Assets inserts rows into the FA_ADJUSTMENTS table. The rows from this table are used by the Create Journal Entries Process to insert into the GL_JE_BATCHES, GL_JE_HEADERS and GL_JE_LINES tables.
