Does Ophelia Love Hamlet?
In Act III scene 1, Ophelia laments Hamlet’s apparent madness and refers to herself as one who had been attracted to him: And I, of ladies most deject and wretched, That suck’d the honey of his music vows, Now see that noble and most sovereign reason, Like sweet bells jangled, out of tune and harsh I think that this is the closest that she comes to avowing love.
