Does OPDC ever purchase organic milk from other dairies?
There are four classes of milk products regulated in CA. OPDC never purchases raw milk from outside sources for Class 1 (milk) and Class 2 (cream). 100% of all raw milk and cream bottled at OPDC comes from OPDC cows, located on the green pastures of OPDC. All of these products are subject to state inspection, and undergo intense testing for pathogens, with coliform standards of less than 10 per ml. Class 3 milk products include ice-cream and other frozen desserts. OPDC is prohibited from making any of these products by regulation all of these products must be pasteurized.
