Does OAI investigate all complaints?
OAI screens all complaints to assess whether the allegations are specific, credible, verifiable, and material. At the conclusion of the screening process, the OAI will decide whether an investigation is warranted or the case should be closed at this stage. If a decision is made not to pursue the case further, OAI documents the reasons for that decision, and retains the information in its database in case additional information is received later.
