Does NYSERDA provide Green Building incentives and Technical Assistance?
NYSERDA will provide financial assistance for the applicants green building consultant for projects seeking green building assistance. Applicants may use a green building consultant of their choice or NYSERDA can help identify a provider for these services. For green building technical services on projects that achieve LEED or NY-CHPS certification, NYSERDA will pay an additional amount equal to NYSERDAs share of energy analysis TA services, up to a total additional NYSERDA contribution of $25,000. Additional capital cost incentives are available for LEED Certified projects achieving three or more points under the energy optimization category of the LEED rating system. For projects that successfully achieve a formal LEED rating by the US Green Buildings Council as a Green Building and achieve at least 3 EAc-1 points, Applicants are eligible for a flat-rate incentive in the amount of $5,000 for projects under 50,000 square feet in area and $10,000 for projects of 50,000 square feet or l
