The NSW Health Interim Influenza Pandemic Action Plan www.health.nsw.gov.au/pubs/2005/pdf/pandemic_ap.pdf has been in place since November 2005. The Australian Government also has the Australian Health Management Plan for Pandemic Influenza (2008) www.flupandemic.gov.au/internet/panflu/publishing.nsf/Content/ahmppi in place. Both the National and State Pandemic Influenza Plans are being used as guidance documents for the response to H1N1 Influenza 09. The NSW Health response is adapting to the rapidly evolving situation, so not all actions are specified in the planning documents.
